Violet Lane Birth Services
My goal as a doula is to empower you to make choices right for you and your baby during pregnancy and birth. I have an unshakeable belief that women’s bodies are perfectly designed to grow and birth their babies, and strive to help you discover the strength within yourself to have a beautiful birth experience.
My Birth Support Package includes:
*A complimentary, no obligation meeting to answer any questions you may have about doula care and about my services.
*One or two prenatal visits (depending on your needs) to get to know each other and to make plans for your birth.
*24/7 availability for your birth from 37 weeks of pregnancy until the birth of your baby.
*On-site support through labor, birth and the early postpartum period.
*One or two prenatal visits, including lactation support as needed.

Postpartum Care
My postpartum doula services are utilized most often by birth clients, but are available to others if my schedule allows. Postpartum care can include, but is not limited to:
*breastfeeding support and education
*assistance and support with baby care tasks. I do not take over care of your baby, but help you to gain confidence with your instincts and abilities as a parent.
*help with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
*childcare while you sleep, shower, or care for older siblings.
*overnight stays as needed (based on availability)
Postpartum care is priced by the hour and is available in discounted packages.

Placenta Encapsulation
Your placenta can help you recover from childbirth, establish healthy breastfeeding and support your emotional well being in the postpartum period. I am a Placenta Encapsulation Specialist certified through PBi, offering safe, healthy placenta encapsulation services. Please email me or visit my PBi page for more information.
Childbirth Education Classes
Currently, I teach private childbirth education classes tailored to your schedule and needs. Classes cover:
*Normal pregnancy, labor and birth.
*Comfort measures and coping techniques for labor.
*Common variations and complications of pregnancy and birth.
*Breastfeeding and newborn care.
My classes are geared towards those who wish to minimize interventions in labor and birth, but do cover pain medication options and common interventions for those birthing in the hospital. Classes are customized based on your pregnancy, situation, and needs. It is recommended that classes start in the second trimester, but can be taught at any point in pregnancy. Belly Casting:
Your pregnant body is a beautiful thing! A belly cast can preserve the memory of your shape as you grow your baby. Plaster casting material is applied to the belly and breasts (and arms, hands, or thighs if desired), leaving a perfect replica of your body. Belly cast decorating is a great activity for a baby shower or mother’s blessing ceremony!
Rates are subject to change; please contact me for more information. Payment plans are available and flexible for all services. Sliding scale fees are available for those in need, including military families and teen mothers.
